MAJOR COST SAVINGS

It costs only pennies-$.02 to $.06 to treat a gown each time it is washed- to extend the life of the gown. Some customers say they have reduced their new gown purchases by a third. The high per-use cost of disposables and the increased difficulty of getting rid of them combine to make reusable garments a better choice. PROTEX 2000® with consistently effective repellency gives added confidence and on-going protection.

Used in the laundry process major cost savings are achieved by:

  • extending the life of reusable gowns by renewing and maintaining the repellent finish, and
  • using reusable gowns instead of disposables.

Testing shows that if PROTEX 2000® FLUID REPELLENT is used each time the garment is washed, the life of the garment will be extended dramatically.

Hospital B

switched from disposable OR gowns to 100% polyester gowns and began using PROTEX 2000® from the start. These are some independent test results.
